Dynamite Entertainment is sharing its New York Comic-Con news early with the announcement of two new series and a print line centered on some of its most iconic characters.

Barbarella and the Princess of Barsoom will team up in Barbarella / Dejah Thoris from Leah Williams (Adventure Time Comics, X-Men: Black) and artist Carlos Gomez (Red Sonja). The first issue is in stores in January and features covers by Jen Bartel (Uncanny X-Men), Zach Hsieh (YouTube), Pasquale Qualano (Grimm Fairy Tales), and Tom Feister (Barbarella), as well as a cosplay cover and Authentix Edition blank sketch cover.

Mistress of the Dark Elvira will return January for a new four-part miniseries by writer David Avallone (Elvira, Bettie Page) and artist Fran Strukan (Hack/Slash vs. Vampirella). The first issue of Elvira: Shape of Elvira will have covers by Francesco Francavilla (The Black Beetle), J. Bone (Batman/The Spirit), Kyle Strahm (Elvira: Mistress of the Dark), and Dave Acosta (Elvira), as well as a photo cover. The miniseries finds Elvira cast in a decidedly fishy art film about a human / gill monster romance.

Dynamite also announced the January kick-off of a line if high-end giclee prints. The first release, which measures 34 3/4” by 17 1/2”, features artwork of Vampirella by Dave Stevens (The Rocketeer). Furture releases will have art by Jae Lee (Stephen King’s Dark Tower), Joe Jusko (Vampirella), Joseph Michael Linsner (Dawn), and more.

Dynamite announced the return of classic comics characters Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt and Turok earlier today (see “Heroes From the Past Return in New Adventures”).
