Fantasy and science fiction comics publisher Vault Comics announced Myriad, a new middle grade and young adult imprint. The new imprint is headed by Adrian Wassel, Vault Editor-in-Chief, and Tim Daniel, Vault’s VP of Branding and Design.
The new imprint will be delivered in a wide range of formats (original graphic novels, one-shot graphic novellas, serialized graphic stories), and feature new and established talent. “Young readers want to make their own heroes - so our heroes must be equally reflective of all of us, representing who we are broadly and as individuals,” said Daniel. “A seismic shift in readers’ attitudes and expectations requires a myriad of choices—both in format and content. The name of our new line expressly conveys our goal, and what we are delivering to readers."
The first Myriad titles will launch in 2019.
Vault began publishing in 2017 (see “First Movie Deal for New Publisher's Titles”). Earlier this year, the publisher launched a web-based preorder system for consumers that filters in to local comic stores (see “Vault Sets Up Comics Pre-Order System”).
