Hope Nicholson’s latest anthology will explore the corners of comic book conventions from the perspective of those who make comics. Dark Horse will release Pros and (Comic) Cons on May 29, 2019. MSRP for the 144-page trade paperback is $19.99. Colleen Coover covers the volume.

Pros and (Comic) Cons includes comics and essays by Brian Michael Bendis (The Man of Steel), Greg Pak (The Incredible Hercules), Jenn St-Onge (Nancy Drew), Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash), Kieron Gillen (The Wicked + The Divine), Sina Grace (Iceman), Amy Chu (Green Hornet), and others. It offers a first-hand look at the convention experience, including celebrity run-ins, fan encounters, and advice for new and experienced convention attendees.

Nicholson has been exploring the lives of geeks quite a bit recently. She edited the popular The Secret Loves of Geek Girls anthology (see “'The Secret Loves of Geek Girls'”) and its followup, The Secret Loves of Geeks.
