Mantic Games is offering a limited edition miniature of the character Hellboy, inspired by the art of Mike Mignola to boost excitement for its upcoming board game.  The Holiday Hellboy figurine will begin shipping in February.

The digitally-sculpted figure features Hellboy clad in a Santa Claus costume toting a bag full of gruesome toys and standing amidst a collection of gravestones.  The figurines will be hand-crafted from collector’s quality resin by the Mantic Games staff and measures nearly 7 cm tall (about 2.75 inches).

The model is supplied unpainted, and some assembly is required.  In addition to being a decorative art piece, the model comes with an exclusive “Holiday Hellboy B.P.R.D. Agent” card that allows players to use it in Mantic’s Hellboy:  The Board Game.

MSRP is £29.99 (about $38.21).

Mantic funded production of its Hellboy board game earlier this year on Kickstarter, attracting more than $1 million in pledged support (see “‘Hellboy:  The Board Game’ Kickstarter Tops $1M”).

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the character, Dark Horse Comics is releasing three new related comic book titles (see “Dark Horse Plans Trio of Releases Set in Hellboy Universe”).
