Space Cowboys’ line of escape room-inspired games, Unlock!, will add three more titles in January with the release of a trio of Exotic Adventures: Expedition: Challenger, Scheherazade’s Last Tale, and Night of the Boogeymen.
Like earlier games in the series, Unlock! Exotic Adventures recreates the escape room experience in card game form, challenging players to complete a series of puzzles before time runs out (see "New Trio of ‘Unlock! Secret Adventures’").
The latest set of Unlock! games features more fantastic storylines and locations, earning them the subtitle of Exotic Adventures. The first, Expedition: Challenger, inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World, has players travel to that book’s mysterious plateau in search of a lost member of Professor Challenger’s expedition.
Drawing from the Tales of the Arabian Nights, Scheherazade’s Last Tale tasks the players to help the famous storyteller sort out one final story to tell the Sultan to save her from the executioner.
Rounding out the trio is Night of the Boogeymen, where players must help save Little William from the creepy boogeymen who assail his nightmares, while being careful not to wake the sleeping child.
Each game is designed for 1 to 6 players, ages 14 and up, and takes one hour to play. A free Unlock! timer app is available for download for use with the game. MSRP is $14.99 each.
