Polish publisher Portal Games has promoted Luke Otfinowski, Portal Games U.S. Representative, to Director of U.S. Operations. Otfinowski will assume management of all U.S. hobby sales and distributor relations for the game publisher as of January 1.

With his promotion, Otfinowski will continue to strengthen relationships with Portal’s U.S. distribution partners. Otfinowski joined the company in August 2018 as the U.S. Representative for Portal Games.

Previously, U.S. sales were handled through a partnership with Publisher Services, Inc. (PSI). Portal Games will continue to work with PSI for its mass market sales and international distribution. "We have thrived in the United States under Publisher Services, Inc.," said Portal CEO Ignacy Trzewiczek. "PSI was invaluable to us as we expanded to the US and will continue to serve our growing needs in mass market, Canada, and beyond. I am very excited for our future with both Luke and PSI working hard to promote our products and brand to an ever-expanding audience."

Portal Games is the publisher of popular games including Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, Imperial Settlers, Neuroshima Hex, and Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game. Portal has an ambitious publishing slate planned for 2019 (see “Expansions for 'Detective,' 'Robinson Crusoe,' 'Stronghold,' More”), and plans to announce more at Portalcon at the end of January.
