Described as the world’s first dodgeball card game, players compete to collect matching sets of three card in the deck faster than opponents, while also dodging (and throwing) squishy airborne burritos. Collecting card sets earns points, but being hit by a burrito subtracts them. Players draw cards secretly, and attempt to find matches before anyone else. But, if someone plays Burrito Cards, a battle ensues. Battles are dictated by the cards, so it may only involve a few players, or it may be a full out Burrito War. Combatants in a Burrito Duel will stand back to back, walk three paces and fire.
The original Throw, Throw Burrito edition comes with 2 throwable slow-rise foam burritos, 120 game cards, 6 game tokens, a game badge and instructions. The game is for 2 – 6 players, ages 7 and up. MSRP is $20.00.The campaign has currently raised more than $1,985,000 from over 41,100 backers as of this writing. It will run through Thursday March 28. Backer fulfillment is scheduled for September. The game will be carried in Target for the end of the year. Trade release plans have not been finalized.
