Capstone Games was showing off its upcoming release Ragusa at the Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio. Slated for a Gen Con release with a trade street date of August 28, the game is designed by Fabio Lopiano (Calimala).
Set during the Renaissance, players develop Ragusa (present-day Dubrovnik) by building structures, walls, and businesses, and by manipulating the markets including imports. There is also a secret-missions mechanic that allows players to covertly develop alternative ways of scoring at the end of the game to enable surprise wins.
Ragusa comes with 160 wooden pieces, full-color game board, five players mats, 30 counting cards, 26 ship cards, 16 secret mission cards, and cards for solo play. It accommodates one to five players, ages 12+, and takes about 60 minutes. MSRP is $59.99.
