Hush Hush Projects announced that it is bringing Fog of Love, their romantic comedy game, to trade. Previously available exclusively through Walmart’s online store, the two-player game will be available at Gen Con and release to trade October 8th.

In Fog of Love, players assume the roles of a potential romantic couple. Each character has three personality traits chosen by their controller that influence how they act and what they want. They also have three appearance traits chosen by the other player, which define what caused the attraction. Cards offer scenarios and give players choices to make that determine whether or not they proceed towards a happy ending or whether things get rocky. It’s a cooperative game with the players attempting to end the story with the protagonists getting together for good.

The Fog of Love box includes:

  • rulebook
  • gameboard
  • 2 dual-sided character cards (male and female)
  • 3 predefined scenarios
  • 2 card stands
  • 100 trait cards
  • 38 story cards
  • 60 feature cards
  • 30 occupation cards
  • 14 story ending cards
  • 8 decision tokens
  • 80 choice point tokens

It is designed for two players aged 17+, plays in 60 to 120 minutes, and has a MSRP of $49.95.

Launched on Kickstarter in 2017, Fog of Love raised over $162,000 from 3625 backers, hitting all its stretch goals. The Walmart exclusive ended April 1st, and this will be the first time this game is available for purchase by other channels.
