Marvel is releasing a hardcover collection of its eightieth anniversary tribute issues, hitting comic stores on March 3, 2020. The collection gathers together Marvel Comics #1000-1001, plus unnamed extras, weighing in at 128 oversize pages, with a retail price of $29.99.
The collection republishes the story featured in Marvel Comics #1000-1001, weaving though eighty years of Marvel Comics history starting with Marvel Comics #1, 1939, with pages by celebrity creators along with long-time Marvel stalwarts.
Credited creators for the hardcover include writers Al Ewing, Audrey Loeb, Jimmy Palmiotti, Declan Shalvey, Vita Ayala, Howard Chaykin, Kaare Andrews, Frank Tieri, Amy Reeder, Nick Spencer, Roger Stern, Scott Aukerman, Brian Posehn, Bill Morrison, and artists Amanda Conner, Humbert Oramos, Natacha Bustos, Jerry Ordway, Dario Brizuela, Dan Panosian and others.
Marvel Comics #1000 included 80 pages of story with one page corresponding to each year of Marvel’s history (see "’Marvel Comics’ #1000"). Issue #1001 continued the story of the Eternity Mask.
