An ICv2 Release.  ICv2 will present the "ICv2 Insider Talks 2019 – The Future of Comics in the Age of Streaming" on Monday morning, October 7, 2019 (the day after New York Comic Con), the company announced today.  The half-day invitation-only event will bring together the thought leaders that are taking the business into the future to share ideas, to network, and to learn from each other.

Initial Insider Talks content announcements include the ICv2 White Paper, presented by ICv2 CEO Milton Griepp, a talk with David Saylor, the Founder and Publisher of Scholastic’s hugely successful Graphix kids graphic novel imprint, and the presentation of the first-ever comic-store sell-through data, with ComicHub Vice President Atom! Freeman.  More information on speakers will be released in the coming days.

"Comics are in a period of rapid change, as formats, contents, and channels all shift simultaneously," ICv2 CEO Milton Griepp said in explaining the theme of the conference.  "And that’s just one reflection of turbulence throughout the business of geek culture and entertainment at large, as social and technological forces transform how entertainment is produced, distributed and consumed.  Our goal is to bring together information, insight, and creativity to try to point the way forward."

Speakers and attendees include:

  • U.S. and international comics and graphic novel publishers
  • Retailers and wholesalers
  • Librarians and educators
  • Digital executives
  • Writers and artists
  • Producers, agents, and managers
  • Licensees, licensors, and marketers
