TKO Presents, the unconventional comics publisher that launched earlier this year with four titles by creators including Garth Ennis and Joshua Dysart (see "’Inverting Expectations:’ TKO’s Tze Chun Talks About His New Imprint’s Strategy"), has released its second wave of four new titles, featuring works by creators including Roxane Gay, Jeff Lemire, and more.

TKO’s launch strategy included releasing titles simultaneously as sets of individual issues and graphic novels, so that consumers were purchasing complete stories whichever format they chose.  The company also eschewed conventional distribution, selling direct to retailers at 50% discount, free freight.

In The Banks, written by New York Times bestselling writer Roxane Gay with art by Ming Doyle (The Kitchen), the women of the Banks family, the most successful thieves in Chicago, come tougher to avenge a loved one during the heist of a lifetime.

In the science fiction story Sentient, by Eisner Award-winners Jeff Lemire (Black Hammer) and Gabrile Walta (The Vision), an attack kills the adults on a colony ship and the on-board A.I. Valerie must help the ship’s children survive the perils of space.

Pound for Pound, by Natalie Chaidez, Andy Belanger, and Daniela Miwa, tells the story of underground MMA fighter Dani Libra, whose recurring blackouts spark bloody memories, and her search for her kidnapped sister while trying to shine a light on the darkness in her own mind.

Eve of Extinction, by Sal and Steve Simeone, Nik Virella, and Ruth Redmond, follows two mothers and their search for their daughter in a hurricane that changed the men into something inhuman.

Trade paperback editions retail for $19.99, while a six-issue box set of individual issues retails for $29.99.
