PvP Geeks will release Skytear, a miniatures game inspired by multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, into trade in February.
In Skytear, players draft a team of Champions to do battle in an effort to destroy enemy temples. This miniatures game is card-driven, and combat runs entirely without dice involved. The initial release of miniatures will consist of a Skytear will consist one Starter Box and three expansions.
The Skytear Starter Box has everything players need to start up a game for two to four players. It includes 8 unique Hero miniatures (38mm), 16 Minion miniatures (25mm), an Outsider miniature (90mm), 84 cards, and a double-sided board. The miniatures come unpainted, but require no assembly. Skytear is for two to four players, ages 13 and up, plays in 30 to 60 minutes, and this set will retail for $70.00.
There will be three faction expansions available upon retail release: Kurumo Expansion, Liothan Expansion, and Nupten Expansion. Each faction expansion comes with 4 Hero miniatures (38mm), 4 Hero cards, and 32 Power cards. These expansions will retail for $35.00 each.
