In Foundations of Rome, players build the city of Rome together by placing miniature buildings and controlling lots of land. On each turn, players can do one of three things: buy a lot, place a building on a lot, or upgrade to larger buildings. Each building constructed helps players gain more money, population, and scores them points which ultimately wins can win them the game.
This game is for two to four players, plays in 90 minutes, and the base game costs around $99.00 off of the Senator pledge level on their Kickstarter. Retailers can pledge a down payment of $120.00 or more for a minimum four copies of the game, through the Merchant reward tier, which will be processed after the campaign.
As of the publication of this article, the Foundations of Rome Kickstarter is at $661,310 of a $50,000 goal with 4867 backers ($136 per backer).
