Heavy Metal announced that Joseph Illidge as co-managing editor of Heavy Metal magazine. He will work closely with co-managing editor Richard Llaerna as well as Heavy Metal's upper management and their creative team.  

Illidge was a veteran editor of the DC Comics' Batman universe, and was brought in because of his experience in editorial worldbuilding.

Illidge will work with Heavy Metal’s CEO Matt Medney as the magazine announces new initiatives and partnerships leading up to the publication of issue #300.

Heavy Metal also recently named David Erwin as its new publisher (see "Heavy Metal Appoints New Publisher").
