Comic-Con, organizers of WonderCon, the major convention scheduled for April 10-12 in Anaheim, has announced that the event will be postponed until a future date. The postponement was based on a recommendation from the California Department of Public Health that events of more than 250 people be postponed or cancelled to protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19.
The organization promised to begin processing refunds for badge purchases in the coming days.
This is the second major comic convention postponed in the past week; Emerald City Comic Con, scheduled for this weekend, was postponed by organizers ReedPop (see "Emerald City Comic Con Postponed").
No decision has been made regarding a rescheduling of San Diego Comic-Con, the pre-eminent annual comic convention in the United States, which is scheduled for July.
