Another swath of Geek TV News has descended upon the viewing masses, and it's time to round it up!

Amazon has released its last trailer for The Boys S2 along with key art images (see gallery). Amazon had recently renewed this series for a third season (see "'The Boys' Renewed").

Wildbrain announced that they have tapped Kevin Smith to develop a Green Hornet animated series according to License Global. The Green Hornet franchise has experienced several incarnations in television and film throughout the years including Seth Rogan's cheeky film version (see "'Green Hornet' Gets Seth Rogen") and the classic 1966 series starring Bruce Lee as Kato. The comic book has been a staple for publishers since the 1930's, and more recently, Dynamite Entertainment released a Green Hornet #1 on July 22 (see "Preview: 'Green Hornet' #1 ").    

DC Universe announced that Krypton S2 will be streaming on their service on August 2. This doomed SyFy series came to DC Universe after just two seasons where its ratings floundered (see "'Krypton' Cancelled").

Anime streaming service Crunchyroll announced that it has hit three million paid subscribers according to License Global. This benchmark comes along as they also hit 70 million registered users globally. Crunchyroll is also the curator of anime titles for sister company HBO Max (see "'Anime on HBO Max ").  

Speaking of HBO, the Watchmen received a total of 26 Emmy Nominations for this year's award show. Among the nominations, they received a nod for Outstanding Limited Series, Regina King was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, and Louis Gossett Jr. was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. The popularity of the TV series has, of course, spilled back over into comics, and DC Comics has recently announced a Rorschach series (see "Tom King, Jorge Fornes Take on 'Watchmen' Character").

In other Emmy news, Disney+'s The Mandalorian garnered a number of Emmy nominations as well including a nod for Outstanding Drama Series Giancarlo Stanton, of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fame, was also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor In a Drama Series for his role as Moff Gideon on The Mandalorian. The smash hit series has been releasing casting teasers for S2 including an appearance by Boba Fett (see "Boba Fett Cast for 'The Mandalorian'").
