Capstone Games is bringing a staple of psychoanalysis to the game table in its new party game Rorschach, releasing this June.

Inspired by the famous test devised by pioneering Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach, this party game challenges two teams of players to try to guess which random words their teammates have connected to Rorschach’s inkblot images.

One player secretly pairs three words with three images then their teammates try to deduce how they connected the words and images.  The opposing team can try to “steal” points by guessing, too.  The game also invites players to explore the different ways that a single image can be interpreted and discuss how the words and images might be paired together.

Rorschach is part of Capstone Game’s new “Family Brand” line.  It is intended for 4 to 10 players, ages 10 and up.  Games take under half an hour to play.  MSRP is $29.95.

In April, Capstone will release a pair of games (see “Capstone Games Will Release Two Board Game Titles in April”).  It’s massive coffee-themed is expected later this year (see “Capstone Games’ New Fair Trade Coffee-Themed Board Game Comes with Over 650 Components”).
