Thunderworks Games has announced two new titles for release in July:  Roll Player Adventures and Cape May.

Set in the same game world as Thunderworks’ dice drafting game Roll Player (see “Indie Hit ‘Roll Player’ Gets Expansion”), Roll Player Adventures is a cooperative fantasy adventure game in which players try to complete a series of challenges and confront monsters as they explore a storyline shaped by the players’ choices.  Players can use characters they have created in Roll Player for their adventures or use the six pre-generated characters included in the box.

Roll Player Adventures is intended for 1 to 4 players, ages 14 and up.  Games take 90 to 150 minutes to play.  MSRP is $129.95.  The game comes with 12 Storybooks (11 main adventures plus a replayable “side quest”), 1 Encounters book, 1 Skillbook, 6 maps, 4 character sheets, 50 character inserts, 10 party journal sheets, 4 player aids, 1 dice bag, 51 dice, 182 markers and tokens, 30 coins, and 602 cards. Ownership of Roll Player is not required.

An expansion, called Nefras’s Judgement will also be offered, with 41 quests designed to allow players to explore their character’s alignment based on the choices they make during the game.  MSRP is $44.95.

In Cape May, the players are entrepreneurs in a picturesque seaside New Jersey town during the turbulent times of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries.  Over four seasons, they develop properties, establish shops, and pursue their personal bonus goals, all while saving enough time for some relaxing birdwatching.  The player who can best balance these competing needs wins the game.

Cape May includes 1 game board, 4 player boards, 221 markers and tokens, 85 building miniatures, and 171 cards.  For 1 to 4 players, ages 14 and up, games take 1 to 2 hours to play.  MSRP is $59.95.

The two releases join Cartographers Heroes, also scheduled for July release (see “Thunderworks Game Unveils ‘Cartographers Heroes’”).
