The program was kick-started with a $500,000 donation from Ingram Charities and Ingram Content Group and also received donations from Bookshop.org, Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan Publishers, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, and the comics publisher Zenescope (see “Zenescope Livestreams Raise Over $10,000 for Comic Shops”).
The grants went to stores in 48 states; 99 will receive grants in the amount of $10,000, and 16 will receive $7,500 grants. Here’s the full list of recipients:
