Devil’s Due Comics has signed an agreement with Simon & Schuster Distribution Services for worldwide distribution to the book channel, the companies announced. The new agreement took effect July 1. Devil’s Due has not had broad distribution to the book channel for some time (see "Devil’s Due Leaves Diamond"); the new agreement represents "a pretty significant return to the book trade, and opens up a large library of content to a new audience for the first time," Devil’s Due Founder and President Josh Blaylock told ICv2.
Devil’s Due has Mercy Sparx, currently in development by MGM (see "MGM Acquires ‘Mercy Sparx’"), K. Lynn Smith’s Plume, and the recently announced Trailer Park Boys, along with many other properties.
Simon & Schuster has been issuing a steady stream of signing announcements of smaller comic publishers this year (see "Two More Comic Publishers Sign with S&S").
