Asmodee Group will release Star Clicker, a Ludonaute space invasion defense game by Christophe Raimbault, who also did Colt Express (see "‘Colt Express’"), on September 10.
In Star Clicker, aliens have commenced an assault on the players' planet and they need to defend the homeworld. Players are in command of a starship, and on each turn, all players press two of the nine buttons on their cockpit dashboard to apply an effect, such as moving in space, shooting a ship, or activating a copy action. The pilots are tasked with finding hidden jammers that are blocking their satellite communications, all while Alien Spaceships are descending upon the planet. The goal of the game is to knock out the hidden jammers before an Alien Spaceship reaches the center of the planet and destroys the protective shield.
The game box comes with a board, 40 space tiles, 30 aliens spaceships tokens, 4 3D players spaceship tokens, 4 cockpit dashboards composed of 9 buttons, a Mother spaceship, 22 enemy action floppies, and 2 planetary shields tiles. This game is for two to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 minutes. It will retail for $39.99.
