Disney is expanding its relationship with Target, building out additional shop-in-shop locations for the holidays and bringing the total number of Disney stores in Target to 160 by the end of the year, the companies announced. The program will continue to offer products exclusive to the chain. Target is also continuing the upgrade the dedicated Disney experience at its online store.
Disney launched the first shops-in-shop locations at Target in 2019 with 25 locations, and plans to add 40 more in 2020 (see "Disney Stores at Target"). The stores were established at around 750 square feet each, with around 450 SKUs, including 100 items exclusive to Disney stores.
Like other products sold by Target in the Covid era, items ordered online from the Disney store can be picked up at the local store and are available for same-day delivery.
