Warner Bros. will release Injustice, a new DC Animated Movie inspired by the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game and graphic novel, in October. The animated feature, directed by Matt Peters (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) from a screenplay by Ernie Altbacker (Batman: Hush), will star Justin Hartley as Superman and Anson Mount as Batman.
Formats for the October 19 release include 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack ($39.99 SRP), Blu-ray ($29.98 SRP) and Digital. The release includes Adventures in Storytelling – Injustice: Crisis and Conflict, a bonus featurette in which the film’s storytellers discuss its development.
The video game Injustice: Gods Among Us, by NetherRealm Studios, was released in 2013 to positive reviews, topping sales charts the month it released. The DC digital-first comics, written by Tom Taylor with art by Jheremy Raapack, Mike S. Miller and others, were later released as comics and collected editions.
