Marvel Comics announced its three Free Comic Book Day titles and creative teams for two of them today.
They are Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1, by writers Kieron Gillen and Gerry Duggan and artist Dustin Weaver; Free Comic Book Day: Spider-Man/Venom #1, by Al Ewing, Ram V, and Bryan Hitch; and Free Comic Book Day 2022: Marvel’s Voices #1 by a variety of creators.
The Avengers/X-Men and Spider-Man/Venom comics will be available only through Diamond Comic Distributors, while the Voices comic can be ordered from either Diamond or Penguin Random House. PRH has been Marvel’s distributor since earlier this year (see “Marvel Continues Transformation of Direct Market”), although Diamond continues to offer Marvel comics under different terms.
Free Comic Book Day will take place on May 7, 2022 (see “Free Comic Book Day Returns to First Saturday in May in 2022”).
