Warlord Games announced two new Black Powder Starter Army sets, for the Anglo-Zulu war series, which will go on preorder December 18, 2021.

The two starter sets, one featuring the British army and the other featuring the Zulu army, are excellent entry points for players looking to recreate battles that occurred on the African savannah in 1879, as depicted in movies like Zulu and Zulu Dawn. The British Starter Army features a main force, a Natal Native Contingent force. The box contains 60 plastic British Infantry miniatures, 20 plastic Natal Native Contingent miniatures, and a limited edition Brevet Major Henry Spalding figure.

The Zulu Starter Army set showcases the finest warriors in all of Africa. They are led by a limited edition miniature of Dabulamanzi KaMpande, a Zulu commander. This game box comes with 40 plastic Married Zulus, 40 plastic Unmarried Zulus, and the commander figure.

Warlord Games is also launching a series of miniatures for Black Powder Epic Battles inspired by the Battle of Waterloo (see "'The Waterloo Campaign'").
