This piece is inspired by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio's Medusa painting that was given to the Grand Duke of Tuscany in 1597, which depicts the famed gorgon at the moment of her execution. Caravaggio's Medusa is a self-portrait painted on an convex shield. For the WizKids' sculpt, they tapped heavy metal artist Sawblade for a re-interpretation of the original masterpiece.
The Death Saves Medusa Trophy is made of foam rubber and latex, and weighs about 8-10 pounds. It is hand-painted for ultimate detail, and comes with a trophy plaque for mounting. This product is net priced.
WizKids also unveiled two Death Saves: War of Dragons sets, featuring characters from Joe Manganiello's celebrity D&D campaign, for release in March 2022 (see "Joe Manganiello's Celebrity 'D&D' Campaign ").
