Top Shelf Productions will collect Jeffrey Brown’s three graphic memoirs, Clumsy, Unlikely, and An Easy Intimacy in a 608-page softcover omnibus, Loved and Lost: A Relationship Trilogy, to be published in May with an MSRP of $29.99.
The omnibus coincides with the 20th anniversary of Clumsy, which Brown drew directly in ink in a sketchbook and self-published in 2002; Top Shelf published a new edition in 2003 and followed it up with Unlikely, also in 2003, and An Easy Intimacy, also known as AEIOU, in 2005. All three books are memoirs of his relationships.
Since then, Brown has published over two dozen other books, including A Matter of Life, The Incredible Change-Bots, and Lucy & Andy Neanderthal. Brown won Eisner Awards in the Best Humor Publication category for his Star Wars books Darth Vader and Son and Vader’s Little Princess, and his latest in that series, A Vader Family Sithmas, topped the NPD BookScan graphic novel charts in November and December (see “Jeffrey Brown Does Star Wars ‘Sithmas’”).
