Dynamite Entertainment has shared print run and availability information on its fast-moving The Boys Oversized Omnibus hardcover series, which was released over the past two weeks. All six editions (three volumes, signed and unsigned) are available as of the information received Wednesday, but all are on a path to sell out quickly. The regular editions retail for $99.99 and the signed editions for $199.99 (see "‘The Boys’ Are Back – in Omnibus").
As of Wednesday, The Boys Oversized Omnibus Unsigned Vol. 1 had 405 units available of the 5,307 copy print run, and Signed Volume 1 had 119 units available of the 648 copy print run.
The Boys Oversized Omnibus Unsigned Vol. 2 had 861 units available of the 4,600 copy print run, and Signed Vol. 2 had 221 units available of the 539 copy print run.
And The Boys Oversized Omnibus Unsigned Vol. 3 (which was just released this week) had 1,780 units available of the 4,604 copy print run, while Signed Vol. 3 had only 53 units left of the 543 copy print run.
All volumes were "overprinted considerably" relative to advance orders but inventories are now dropping quickly, Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci told us.
Because of printer capacity constraints, second printing copies (unsigned only) will likely not be available until the holidays, Barrucci said.
