Big changes are afoot at Florida-based Scout Comics & Entertainment, where Co-Publisher David Byrne has left the company. He will be succeeded by Richard Rivera, Publisher of Scout’s kids’ imprint, Scoot (see “ICv2 Interview: Richard Rivera”). Rivera will work alongside existing Co-Publisher Charles Stickney.

Scout took the opportunity to announce some other promotions and hires.

Kathy and Trevor Thomas, who are married, have been named as Scout Headquarters Manager and Headquarters Operations Manager, responsible for daily operations, customer service, inventory management, and quality control.

Production Designer Marcus Guillory was promoted to Head of Design in January. Nicole D’Andria is the new Digital Content Director; D’Andria also edits comics for Scout, webtoons for Tapas Media, and light novels for J-Novel Club. She also did the comics adaptations of Peter David’s novel Artful and the television show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Ambrosha Koepp and Joey Galvez are Scout’s new Social Media Coordinators.

Scout recently signed a “first look” deal with game publisher The Op (see “Scout Comics and The Op Team Up”).
