Hachette Boardgames will release Critical: Foundation, a Sci-Fi casual roleplaying game, into retail on September 14, 2022.

In this game, players take on the roles of agents investigating sensitive cases in the year 2035. The multinational corporations have completely taken over the world and have made nanotechnologies commonplace in this setting. Game sessions is run by a single player acting as a gamemaster, and the other players can choose from one of four personalities to play, which are detailed on illustrated cards. The game box comes with 9 episodes for players to tackle, each taking about 30 minutes to play through.

The game box comes with an introduction to RPGs, a GM's screen, a synopsis booklet, 34 Episode cards, 4 Character cards, 8 NPC cards, 10 Clue cards, 8 Background cards, 23 Wound and Status cards, 19 Equipment cards, 41 tokens, 7 dice, a felt tip pen, 4 Name cards, a Building Plan, and rules. This game is for two to five players; ages 14 and up.  

Hachette Boardgames will also release Akropolis, a new city-building board game by Gigamic, into U.S. retail (see "'Akropolis' into U.S. Retail").
