The Marvel HeroClix:  Spider-Man Beyond Amazing series will launch in February with a Miniatures Game starter set, Booster Brick, two Play at Home Kits, and a Dice & Token Pack.  A Release Day Organized Play Kit will also be available.

The Marvel HeroClix:  Spider-Man Beyond Amazing Miniatures Game is designed as a standalone way for new players to get into the HeroClix game while also offering new content to experienced players.  The set has a campaign of eight scenarios featuring characters from the Spider-Man universe, including Spider-Man himself, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, and Spiderling, who face off against the villains Venom, Bullseye, Shocker, Hydro-Man, and Mysterio.  The two-player scenarios are linked so that the results of one game can impact play later in the campaign.

The set includes 10 pre-painted HeroClix figures designed so they can be used with both “beginner” and “advanced” play, 20 character cards, 8 scenario cards, 2 power and ability cards, thick double-sided map tiles, tokens, 2 dice with Spider-Man icons, and a full-color rulebook with the most up-to-date rules.  MSRP is $69.99.

Additional characters can be found in the Marvel HeroClix:  Spider-Man Beyond Amazing Boosters.  Each booster includes five random figures representing heroes and villains from six decades of Spider-Man comics, from Peter Parker and Miles Morales to Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin, plus supporting characters like Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson.  New weapons including Pumpkin Bombs and Web Shooters can be used to upgrade characters, while Symbiotes can create new power combinations.

The full set will include a total of 73 models, with 16 common, 14 uncommon, 14 rare (with 2 rare Primes), 12 super rare (with 2 Primes), 12 chase figures, and 5 objects.  MSRP for each Booster Brick is $169.99.

The Play at Home Kits are intended as an easy way for fans to get into the game when they may not be able to attend in-store events.  Packaged with a clear window so buyers can see what they’re getting, each kit comes with a limited edition character and object figures plus a double-sided map.  Two Play at Home Kits are being offered for Spider-Man Beyond Amazing:  the Peter Parker kit and the Miles Morales kit.  Sold separately, the kits are MSRP $19.99 each.

Rounding out the new items is the Marvel HeroClix:  Spider-Man Beyond Amazing Dice & Token Pack.  This accessory comes with a pair of custom dice with a special logo to match the series and a set of six action tokens decorated with popular characters.  The tokens feature bystanders on the reverse side so they can double as bystander tokens in scenarios that call for them.  MSRP is $14.99.

WizKids will support the launch with the Marvel HeroClix:  Spider-Man Beyond Amazing Release Day Organized Play Kit to help retailers host release day events.  This kit comes with three limited edition Spider-Man HeroClix figures and character cards to use as prizes for the event, five copies of a double-sided map, and an instruction sheet to help guide the running of the event.  This unit is marked “Not for Resale” and is limited to a maximum of three units per store.
