In Oros, players take on the roles of Demigods tasked with building sacred place by the Wise One. One their turn, players will need to choose between moving the land itself, erupting volcanoes, building shrines, or repositioning Followers in an effort to manipulate a shared board that features puzzle mechanics that resemble the actions of plate tectonics. They can also customize their actions by moving Followers between upgradeable action spaces on their player mats, and build sacred places to gain Wisdom to improve abilities. As they build sacred places, the Demigods ascend a ziggurat and once a player reaches the top, the game is over an scores are tallied.
The game box comes with a Map board, an Ascension track, 72 tiles, 48 Volcano pieces, 4 player mats, 4 Demigod standees, 4 plastic stands, 32 Follower pieces, 32 Wisdom caps, 36 Sacred Site tiles, a first player marker, 24 Foresight tokens, 48 Automa cards, a score pad, and a rulebook. This game is for one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 60 to 120 minutes. It will retail for $49.99.
