DC Comics will publish the Batman—One Bad Day one-shots as hardcovers, starting in June 2023, and has plans for a direct market-exclusive box set that will include a new printing of The Killing Joke and the hardcover edition of Batman—One Bad Day: The Riddler with room for the other hardcovers to be added as they come out.
Batman—One Bad Day is a series of prestige-format, 64-page one-shots that re-examine some of the most famous Batman villains in the same way that The Killing Joke redefined the Joker (see "Preview: ‘Batman—One Bad Day: The Riddler’"). The series, which kicked off in August, will include one-shots about the Riddler, Two-Face, the Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Bane, Clayface, and Ra's al Ghul.
The hardcover edition of Batman—One Bad Day: The Riddler, by writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads, with a cover by Gerads, will go on sale on June 20, 2023, with an MSRP of $17.99. The Batman—One Bad Day Box Set, with the two initial hardcovers (The Killing Joke and Batman-One Bad Day: The Riddler) will also go on sale on June 20, 2023, with an MSRP of $44.99.
