Heartstopper is serialized on the Tapas and Webtoon platforms as well as on its own Tumblr, and the print edition is a top property for publisher Graphix (see “Webtoons for Younger Readers Find Audiences Online, In Print”). All four volumes were among the top 20 kids’ and YA graphic novels in the book channel in January (see “January 2023 NPD BookScan – Top 20 Kids Graphic Novels”). The Netflix adaptation was one of the top 20 series in English on the streaming service when it was premiered in April 2022, and two more seasons have been greenlit.

Best-Selling Creator to Come Back from Hiatus on April 1

Alice Oseman has announced on Twitter that she will resume updating her webtoon Heartstopper on April 1, 2023. Oseman announced on May 26, 2022, that she was putting the comic on hiatus for a few months. “I have been suffering from severe stress and burnout for a very long time which has been impacting my physical and mental health, and I can no longer create the comic to the best of my ability,” she wrote in a post on her webtoon sites.
