The newest series in the Dawn of DC initiative, Tales of the Titans, will tell the backstories of four members of the Titans, who are now the lead team in the DC Universe.  Each issue of Tales of the Titans will focus on a different character and will feature a different creative team, and the overall vibe of the series is intended to be similar to the 1980s classic Tales of the Teen Titans.  Nicola Scott, the artist for the previously announced Titans series (see “DC to Launch New ‘Titans’ Series by Tom Taylor & Nicola Scott”), will be the main cover artist for all four issues. Here’s the lineup:

• Tales of the Titans #1, by writers Shannon and Dean Hale and artist Javier Rodriguez, puts the focus on Starfire, whose investigation of an alien spaceship brings her back to her past and gives her an opportunity to change it.  The issue will go on sale on July 18, 2023, with four variant covers: an open to order variant by Stanley "Artgerm" Lau, a 1:25 variant by Javier Rodríguez, a 1:50 variant by Fatima Wajid and a Titans special foil variant by Chris Samnee.
• Tales of the Titans #2, by writer Tini Howard and artist Eleonora Carlini, will tell Raven’s backstory.  The issue will go on sale on August 15, 2023.
• Tales of the Titans #3, by writer Steve Orlando and artist Kath Lobo, will feature Donna Troy, the former Wonder Girl, and will go on sale on September 26, 2023.
• Tales of the Titans #4, by writer Andrew Constant with art by Brandt & Stein.  The main character will be Beast Boy and the issue will go on sale on October 24.
