It’s Nickelodeon x Netflix in July when IDW launches the four-issue crossover miniseries Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Stranger Things, by writer Cameron Chittock and artist Fero Pe. This marks the first time the two franchises have crossed over in a comic. The story begins with the Stranger Things kids, Eleven, Max, Dustin, Mike, Will, and Lucas, heading to New York City for a field trip, where they come face to face with an unexpected (yet familiar) threat and team up with the Turtles to vanquish it. The first issue will be released on July 12, 2023, with multiple covers: Cover A by series artist Pe, Cover B by Jorge Corona, Cover C by Jenn Woodall, Cover D by Adam Gorham, and retailer incentive variants by Rafael Albuquerque and Daniel Warren Johnson.

“For the art on this project, I wanted to do something unique, inspired by the era when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were created and the setting of the Stranger Things series,” said Pe in a statement accompanying the announcement. “It’s a style close to the first Turtles comics from Mirage.”
