A new President with a background in franchising has been appointed at 11-store game chain Game Kastle; David Isbell joined Game Kastle in that role at the beginning of April. Isbell comes to Game Kastle from franchisor consulting firm Franchise Growth Partners, where he’s been for the past 15 years.
California-based Game Kastle operates three corporate stores, and also supports 8 franchise stores across seven states. A ninth franchise location will be opening soon, Isbell told us.
Game Kastle Founder Shaw Mead remains CEO of the company, but is pulling back from daily operations to devote more time to other projects, including his role as COO of MetaZoo Games LLC (see "MetaZoo Adds a COO").
We asked Isbell about his role as President. "My goal is to try and add more value to the Game Kastle brand and help it to grow in the industry," Isbell said. "I want to try and focus on developing stronger relationships with all of the brands that we currently work with and on getting to know those that we aren’t yet, and to see what partnerships can be created. My goal is to also build stronger relationships with the franchisees in our brand and foster a cooperative spirit of working together towards success. There is also a current drive to help our company launch some new marketing initiatives, and overseeing the processes and procedures in the Game Kastle brand."
