Games Workshop announced the winners of the Golden Demon competition from Warhammer Fest 2023, which happened from April 29 to May 1, 2023 at the Manchester Central Convetion Complex in Manchester, U.K.
The best of the best Warhammer painters submitted their models for judgment during the UK leg of GW painting competition. This year's categories, similar to the Adepticon competition (see "Winners of Golden Demon USA 2023"), featured best Single Miniature, Squad, Vehicle, and Large Model categories for Warhammer 40,000 and best Single Miniature, Unit, and Large Miniature categories for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. There was also a category for Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game miniatures as well as categories for best Diorama, Duel, Small Scale, Youngblood (for younger painters), and an open competition.
The Slayer Sword for this contest was awarded to Albert Moreto Font for his King of Lumineth miniature. This miniature also won Gold in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Single Miniature category.
