Yellow & Yangtze is a sequel to Knizia’s Tigris & Euphrates, and was last released in 2018 by Grail Games (see "Three Reiner Knizia Games"). Huang uses the same rules and mechanics of Yellow & Yangtze, but has gotten a complete makeover as far as board and box artwork. The goal of this game is to lead an ancient China kingdom through a time of the Warring States of China. Each player can utilize five different leaders (Governor, Soldier, Farmer, Trader, and Artisan), which they can use to build up their civilization. Players earn victory points in different civilization-building categories, and are scored at the end of the game by their weakest category.
The game box comes with a double-sided board, 138 tiles, 9 pagoda standees, 20 leader standees, 150 victory point markers, 4 screens, a unification marker, a bag, and a rulebook. This game is for two to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 minutes. There will also be a deluxe version of this game that includes miniatures instead of standees.
