Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp, is taking the lead in a new Avengers series from Marvel, Avengers Inc.,by writer Al Ewing and artist Leonard Kirk. The action starts starts with Van Dyne investigating a long-buried conspiracy and a spate of murders of supervillains. Helping her is the original Vision, Victor Shade, who may or may not be on the up-and-up. The first issue will be released on September 13, 2023, with a cover by Daniel Acuna.

“Avengers Inc. takes the beating, buzzing heart of the original Avengers, teams her up with an undead mystery man with an identity so secret even he doesn't know it, and sends them both out to solve the most amazing, fantastic and uncanny whodunnits the Marvel Universe has to offer!” Ewing said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “It's kind of a classic 'will-they-won't-they' crime-solving partnership - or it would be if the 'will-they' in question was 'save the world from...' well, that'd be telling. See you in September!"

Last year Ewing wrote the four-issue miniseries Wasp, which also starred Janet Van Dyne (see “Al Ewing on ‘Wasp’”).
