This game was designed by KOSCH, a German designer that created the abstract tile-laying game Fyfe (see "'FYFE' in U.S. Retail"), and features artwork by veteran wildlife illustrator Toni Llobet. In the Forest Shuffle, players attempt to plant the most valuable trees to create an balanced habitat that will attract wildlife. They accomplish this by playing cards on their turns, looking to make different sets of plants and animals that give them extra points or bonus actions. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.
“With Forest Shuffle, we are now going one step further,” said Hanno Girke, Head of Lookout Games. “This is the first in a series of games that do not use any plastic at all.”
Forest Shuffle will also introduce a Greenline label for Lookout. The Greenline label indicates the board game is made with sustainability in mind, and contains no plastic. The game's parts will be made from sustainable raw materials such as cardboard, paper, and wooden components. The game supports two to five players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. It will retail for $29.99.
