The first two paints sets include miniatures as well as paints. Infernus Marines + Paints comes with three push-fit Infernus Marines with embossed Ultramarines shoulder markings, a starter brush, and six paints (Corax White, Macragge Blue, Balthasar Gold, Abaddon Black, Agrax Earthshade, and Armageddon Dust). Termagants and Ripper Swarm + Paints comes with three push-fit Termagants, a Ripper Swarm, a Citadel starter brush, and six paints (Corax White, Wraithbone, Naggaroth Night, Thunderhawk Blue, Magos Purple, and Armageddon Dust).

The Paints + Tools set contains no miniatures. Instead, it contains Citadel starter clippers, a mold line remover, a Citadel starter brush, and 13 paints (Abaddon Black, Corax White, Wraithbone, Naggaroth Night, Macragge Blue, Leadbelcher, Balthasar Gold, Bugman’s Glow, Mephiston Red, Thunderhawk Blue, Magos Purple, Agrax Earthshade, and Armageddon Dust).

Games Workshop also revealed three new starter sets for Warhammer 40,000, which will be headed to preorder soon (see "Three Starter Sets for 'Warhammer 40,000 10E'").
