Dynamite Entertainment has licensed Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas for comic books and graphic novels, both adaptations and new material. The first project will be written by Torunn Grønbekk (Thor, Red Sonja) and is due for release in 2024.
Tokyopop told ICv2 that this will not affect their Nightmare Before Christmas manga titles. The title is one of their top sellers (see “ICv2 Interview: Stu Levy”).
The movie, originally released in 1993, turns 30 this year, and there are a number of anniversary items in production, including Funko Pop! figures and fashion merchandise at Hot Topic.
