Webtoon and Wizards of the Coast are collaborating on an original comic that will run exclusively on the Webtoon platform. Brie and the Borrowed Blade will be written by webtoon creator Purpah, whose comic Suitor Armor has 1.5 million followers on Webtoon, with art by Ryan Maniulit, whose previous work includes Dream Daddy and Minecraft: Stories from the Overworld. The story will follow the adventures of Brie, daughter of Drizzt and Cattie-brie, who first appeared in R.A. Salvatore’s Legend of Drizzt fantasy graphic novels. In the comics, Brie takes her father’s sword and goes off on her own adventures. The series will launch in 2024.
