It was a very busy Gen Con in every way, with record attendance (see "Gen Con Attendance Breaks Record"), busy aisles and gaming areas, and brisk commerce.

Every booth we spoke to was selling far more product than expected, with air freight companies reaping bonus volume as exhibitors brought in restocks of quick sellouts.  The last booth we talked to before we left on Saturday around mid-day was Free League, which had just shut down its store in the play area and transferred the last of its stock to the booth on the exhibit floor, which was rapidly selling down on key titles.

There was a fair amount of buzz on new games at the show, once you got past the inevitable conversations about Disney Lorcana (see "One of the Most Epic Disney Lines"), including these (in alphabetical order):

  • 3 Ring Circus, from Devir
  • Bonsai, from DV Games
  • BOOOooop., from Smirk & Dagger
  • Distilled, from Paverson Games
  • SpellBook, from Asmodee studio Space Cowboys
  • Sushi Boat, from Japanime
  • Wandering Towers, from Capstone Games
  • World Wonders, from Arcane Wonders

And here are some photos from our walks around the floor on the first three days of the show.
