Cubicle 7 has revealed Doctors and Daleks, based on the long-running BBC science fiction series Doctor Who and built on the 5th Edition rules set. The new game will launch in November.

Originally announced for 2022 (see “Cubicle 7 Announces ‘Doctors and Daleks’”), Doctors and Daleks allows players to explore the world of Doctor Who and the other Time Lords.  There will be three books in the initial release:

The Doctors and Daleks Players Guide contains the core rules needed to create adventures in the Doctor Who setting, including streamlined character creation rules for designing a version of the Doctor, one of their companions, or even other Time Lords.  Also featured are fast-paced rules that are designed to support the kind of combat-light stories that characterize the series, focusing on non-lethal weapons and the use of emotional and logical arguments to resolve conflicts.  Rounding out the book are details of technological devices, TARDIS customization, and other time travel devices; a history of the Doctor’s universe and his rivals; and recommendations for creating adventures.  MSRP is $59.99.

Doctors and Daleks Alien Archive is a guidebook to the various alien civilizations and creatures that the Doctor has encountered during their travels.  This book describes more than 60 aliens and monsters for use in the game, each with background information, game stats, and guidance for gamemasters.  Alien gadgets and adventure hooks are also described.  Also described, of course, are a wide variety of Dalek and Cyberman variants.  MSRP is $44.99.

The Doctors and Daleks:  Keys of Scaravore offers a four-part linked adventure campaign that focuses on the plot of the ancient being called Scaravore and its plot to dominate the galaxy.  The adventures transport the players from the Wild West to the depths of space, where they must contend with Draconians, Silurians, Zygons, and ultimately Scaravore itself.  MSRP is $34.99.

Cubicle 7 is also offering a special Doctors and Daleks Collector’s Edition slipcover set, which includes all three volumes.  The set also comes with a gamemaster screen and is contained in a slipcase designed to appear as the Doctor’s iconic “Police Box” TARDIS.  MSRP is $149.99.

Doctors and Daleks will be produced in parallel with Cubicle 7’s existing Doctor Who:  The Roleplaying Game, now in its second edition (see “Cubicle 7 Will Release ‘Doctor Who:  The Roleplaying Game 2E Starter Set’”).

November will also see the launch of Cubicle 7’s new Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game (see “Cubicle 7 Will Release a New ‘Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay’ Game into Retail”).
