Dark Horse Comics has announced the final two volumes in its Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins series of original graphic novels.
Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins—Beauregard Lionett, written by Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, and Mae Catt, with art by Guilherme Balbi and colors by Diana Sousa, tells the story of Beauregard, a troublemaker whose “traditional” family had her kidnapped and sent to the Cobalt Soul monks in hopes that she would reform; instead, she turned toward the Mighty Nein. The 56-page hardcover will be released on April 30, 2024, in bookstores and May 1, 2024 in the direct market, with an MSRP of $17.99.
Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins—Caduceus Clay, written by Mercer, Taliesin Jaffe, and Kendra Wells, with art by Selina Espiritu and colors by Eren Angolini, is set in the Blooming Grove, where only two members of the Clay family remain, and where Caduceus must leave as well to take on a dangerous quest. This book, also a 56-page hardcover with an MSRP of $17.99, will be released on June 4, 2024, in the book channel and on June 5, 2024, in the direct market.
