The Celebrational fan festival will be held in Queenstown, New Zealand on January 19-21, 2024 and feature a $20,000 Calling tournament. The new set, entitled Heavy Hitters, will debut there for organized event play. Legend Story Studios Founder and CEO James White commented on the announcement:
“As Flesh and Blood celebrates its fifth year in 2024, we wanted to do something special to celebrate the community and the many different ways people contribute to make it great," said White. "What better way to do that than bring a mix of FaB celebrities and local community superstars to Queenstown, the most beautiful city in New Zealand, to play great games in between experiencing the best New Zealand has to offer over the three day event. To truly make this an occasion for all Flesh and Blood fans, the week will be capped off with back-to-back World Premiere and Calling events featuring the yet to be released set, Heavy Hitters.”
From the concept art, the Heavy Hitters set seems to feature an ancient gladiatorial flair to it. It is likely that the cards will feature a warrior class theme.
