Seven Seas Entertainment has announced a new edition of Maki Murakami’s Gravitation, one of the first yaoi manga to be published in North America and the first to hit the best-seller charts. The 12-volume romantic comedy about an aspiring musician and a troubled romance novelist was published by Tokyopop in 2003-07 (see “More Manga from Tokyopop”) and sold 500,000 copies between 2003 and 2007 (see “‘Graviation EX’ Gets Simultaneous Release”) but has long been out of print. The anime is still available via streaming, however.
Now Seven Seas is bringing it back in a new, large-trim omnibus edition with a new translation, titled Gravitation: Collector’s Edition. The first edition will be released under Seven Seas’ BL label in April 2024 with an MSRP of $24.99.
